Are there dots to be connected here???
OK, before I get into the meat of my post here, let me say I apologize to the few folks here who think I am one of the smartest people on this board.....you know who you are.....and I confess I have fooled you all of these years. For those of you who think I am one of the dimmest bulbs on this board.....well, I suppose I am closer to that designation than the first.
People here talk about "connecting the dots" here periodically. Well, while I used to enjoy doing them when I was a kid, I can't do them without the numbers.....if you know what I mean. But there are some dots to be connected but it will require the thinking of this board's more astute members. I pose some items below to jog your memories.
I thank brewcrew and justarook for jarring my memory. So, here goes.
Brewcrew, yesterday, posted a couple times about our newest board member...Clarissa Desjardins. He queried if maybe she was here for iPlex?? Here are some dots.....Dr. Desjardins joined Insmed in November, 2019, as our newest board member. She founded Clementia Pharmaceuticals in 2011 where she served as President and CEO. In April, 2019, Ipsen acquired Clementia.
Today, justarook posted an old PR of Insmed that had to do with the patent infringement episode between Insmed and Tercica and Genentech. More dots.....Tercica was acquired by Ipsen and Genentech was acquired by Roche. Part of the patent infringement settlement terms was Tercica and Genentech having "opt-in" rights for part of iPlex until the patents ran out. Recently, the settlement terms have run their due course.
So, to the smart ones on this board who might know.....Zake, Pianoman, Bohemian and others not posting like Chem, rehdvm, biowatchdog........can you help "connect any dots" that are waiting to be connected to give us a clear picture? Thanks......H
