Lp-PLA2 is part of the Cleveland Clinic's Heartlab test suite done by Quest. The old now defunct lab my doc used to use included LDL particle size, but CC's does not, although it measure ox-LDL. I still stand by my opinion that AMRN had no choice but to use MO as placebo - it's the only colorless oil - all other placebos would have unblinded the trial because they're yellow. And nobody ever claimed MO interfered with statin absorption or elevated inflammatory biomarkers until the almost too good to believe R-IT results came out. MO has been used for various reasons for a hundred years - if there were real side effects caused by it (besides the runs if you take too much, a dose which is 10x more than 4 g), you don't think someone would have figured it out by 2011?
