Oh wait, the SEC is going to confiscate every Bot in America, aren't they .
So when bots start robbing banks it will be OK with you?
You miss the whole point. No, you don't shut down news distribution, but with all the cockamamy laws that we have in this country we can certainly legislate against the manipulators that empty the cash boxes on the bots don't you think? Something easy for starters bring back the up-tick rule. I have nothing against people using automation to trade, if it is done legally, like that quaint idea of only selling shares that one actually owns. Do you think for a moment that suddenly millions of AMRN shares were available for sale in the recent bot attack or were millions of those shares phantom, non-existent created in cahoots with manipulators? The problem, short and simple is short selling, in all its manifestations. I'm not that naive to think the problem will ever go away, it obviously won't. As I said, too much easy money to be made. BTW, in your opinion, will charts ever get to the point where they will read the news:>)
