INTRO Here's my semi-annual exercise to see if I remember why I own the stocks I own, and so I can check back and see if their stories have changed. I post in case it helps others too.

Electrameccanica

SOLO (market cap is $0.072B was $0.160B)

Electrameccanica is an innovative electric vehicle manufacturer. Too many syllables? What do you call a tiny three-wheeled electric - thing? They've not only designed, but are also manufacturing and selling a three-wheeled vehicle that is designed for the way people actually drive: one-person, little cargo, not very far, not very fast. It may not work for ranchlands, but for trips in town or even with about a hundred mile radius it might be an affordable and efficient way to get things done. Plans include creative designs, including some retro-four-wheel designs.

Their first product, SOLO, which is also the trading symbol $SOLO, just started selling within the last year or so. A significant increase in production capacity should be completed in 2023. Sales have been interesting, but they haven't gone viral.

Commuters are an obvious target market, but even if conventional expectations get in the way, SOLO may find a significant niche within the delivery market: one-person, food delivery or small packages, in town where stop-and-go is too common, where electricity is readily available, and where - this may sound silly, but - parking is difficult for full-sized vehicles. They aren't the only small electric vehicle, which means there is significant competition, but the market is so new that there are no clear winners - yet.

Usually LTBH but only bought in recently because another of my stocks was bought out (just as they were becoming profitable). I bought in to redistribute the funds and increase my diversification.
