When they start mentioning the Truckers Convoy and the FLQ in the same article, one begins to worry.
The authorities are trying to keep a lid on things by giving the protesters space but if the citizenry (and I am not talking about the truckers and their supporters here) are starting to say they have had enough, then the authorities may have to do something and it may not be pretty.
Other protest movements, e.g. environmentalists and/or indigenous people, were smart enough to only inconvenience people a few days to get media attention or if it was longer, do it on logging roads or pipelines in forests where inconvenience to the general public was minimal.
Do the truckers think they will get away with? Maybe it is a version of a white privilege mindset. Just like the protesters on January 6 thought they could get away with. Some even though Trump would pardon them.
As I said, it may not end well.
