Re: Timeline - RA Capital - Should have bought AVRO instead“So, now more than ever, when everything is in the trash, and only the strong will survive, it's important to understand fundamentals and be discerning in where you put your cash. Ryno has been right about the stock price in the way a broken clock is right twice a day. Is a bear that is bearish for years right when eventually the worst biotech route in seemingly our lifetimes comes and takes the entire sector down? When they sold at a low, missed a high, put the proceeds into an even bigger loser, and watched that basically go to zero? Some bears here argue yes, he was right, but the obvious answer is no. He wasn't and isn't. It was dumb luck. There is a reason AVRO has been trading at sub cash on hand levels, resulting in a negative enterprise value for months now. Conversely, there is a reason SGMO still hasn't. And that reason is the discerning signal that tells you about the fundamental difference between these two companies, however faint it might appear at this time under these conditions. ” ********** So all this while SGMO was around $4.60 just last June. BCT if you had put your money into AVRO that day instead of SGMO, you’d be in the green with those buys instead of another 50+% down. I can at least say you and I agree in highlighted part with your last comment in your post… “I'm still accumulating as much as I can, and my methodical purchases are going about 3x as far these days. People don't get rich in the best of times, they get rich in the worst. Know what you own and stay the course.” |
