Re: Pipeline leverage
"18 of 23 programs in Sangamo pipeline"... I'm always wrong, but SGMO's website shows only 18 programs in the pipeline... but so what, why not pencil in a few more boxes for Base Editing and include those in the pipeline, too
which begs the question, "what constitutes a 'program' to be included in a 'pipeline'?"
none of SGMO's 14 preclinical pipeline programs have even filed an IND yet... that sounds like developmental programs not pipeline programs... the 4 programs re KITE, ALS, and Huntington's have been dead-in-the water for quite some time, there's been nothing but radio silence on the 7 CNS programs, and the 3 CAR-Tregs programs seem to be awaiting proof-of-concept from TX200
and there's 4 programs in the clinic... I think both Hemo A and SCD are dead-men-walking, Fabry is a long way from a BLA and has a very limited market potential, and TX200 is all about safety & tolerability while hoping to get POC sometime in 2023
but those 18 pipeline boxes certainly look impressive for the uninitiated :-)
