Updated email to Tina Reed Here is my follow-up to Tina, based on SW's comments. I hope it's what you had in mind: Tina, So good of you to acknowledge my email. I'm afraid I may have missed the mark I had hoped to hit. I thought an analyst might be able to find an interesting angle in the fact that fewer babies will require hospitalization if an effective vaccine becomes available. A good friend's nephew recently died of RSV, which peeked my interest in why the virus's impact is so poorly known by most people. I was shocked by the cost the healthcare system endures year after year and what a boon to our economy this turn of events might initiate. By the way, I really appreciated your article on the VA healthcare system. I am a Viet Nam era Vet and have used the VA for over 15 years. At this point, I become very nervous if I have to secure health services outside the VA system. I love my doctor and every person with whom I interact in that organization. Whether day-to-day, or very technical or specialized services are required, the VA has done an exceptional job. Thanks again, for all you do. I really enjoy your work. |
