I said the other day that tech analysis/charting is more an art than a science. Sometimes you see the right thing and sometimes not.
But when you mention finding water with two sticks, I don't know about that but I have experience with dowsing rods that has worked. Before I advanced to the top spot I was a City Engineer's assistant. We had a set of dowsing rods.
It does not always work but one example - a contractor had been digging trying to find a sewer lateral. That's what is sometimes called a "Y" branch or in other words a Y fitting coming off of a main sewer line for connecting into a new home or other building. He called the office complaining that he couldn't find the lateral. The sewer records in our office were not always accurate. I went out and in a couple minutes I located it with the dowsing rods. I think it worked a couple other times which I've long forgotten but remember that one well because it was a good friend building a house that's literally a stones throw from where I live now.
