Re: Support line - warning, long ramble
Decades ago, that was a universal reference..
Rorschach tests are also known as ink block tests.
I know charts are a great tool, and although I use/like/trust charts a lot, I have been aware for decades that chartists have been tested using historical charts and testing how well chartists predict the future. I am not aware of any studies that show chartists are any better at a predicting future price than a dowser can find water with two sticks :-)
Inkblot/Rorschach tests prove that various individuals can look at the same mess and see different things.
Charts are an amalgamation of many constantly changing vectors. There can be several relevant vectors on any given day. AI might be able to figure out which is which, but I certainly can't
Years ago, after Tesla had gone through some tough times and, I believe, it dipped to the 90s or 80s, I was ready to buy some. The main chart guy on CNBC's fast money predicted a limited upside. I did not buy. Tesla has been rocketing up ever since.
