One more trip event. I visited the National Cemetery on Cape Cod to visit my Dads memorial (not his grave he was buried at sea). The kind woman at the info booth printed out the map to show me his site (I haven’t been there in 20 years) and I thanked her, she said ‘of course, he served in TWO wars’. It was an emotional visit. Semper fi Dad. The greatest generation indeed.
