Yes of course Lucky is.with us. We got a back seat padded flatbed/seat sling. So his head was right between the seats enjoying the ride. We stopped each mid day for a hike/lunch stop to keep the legs fresh and get the puppy energy out. Thats why we did 500 miles or so per day. And we got around 28.5 mpg on average. Over 30 on a couple tanks in the flat lands. 27 in the mountains of the west
