- Public health emergency declarations related to COVID-19 that have been in effect since 2020 will come to an end on May 11, the Associated Press reported.
- The ending of the declarations is significant for COVID vaccine
manufacturers as it will mark the beginning of their availability on the
commercial market, where their price is likely to rise.
- COVID vaccine makers: Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA), Pfizer (NYSE:PFE), BioNTech (NASDAQ:BNTX), and Novavax (NASDAQ:NVAX).
- The emergency was just extended by three months earlier in January.
