Re: Will Mary Trump's book change any minds?>>waterbyrd says: If you cannot specifically cite where Trump did anything illegal ... you are just being pedantic<< What would be the point of my citing that? You have already said, in effect, that anything Trump does is legal (because you in effect argue that Trump's powers are dictatorial -- only "liberal" presidents lack infinite power), and, specifically, that Trump can fire anyone in his administration at will. That is categorically false, as I showed previously. Since you won't admit to that, it is clear that I could provide any number of instances of people he fired where he lacked the authority to do so and it would make no difference, because you still believe that "Trump can fire anyone at will." Until you show some understanding of that, there is no point in talking about it, and we are done. YOU TOLD A LIE. What you are in effect saying is "well lets forget about that, and just move on -- which is typically how you handle these situations." We cannot endlessly "move on" after every lie you tell, and calling all efforts to discuss those lie as "being pedantic" is totally asinine -- in fact, it is another form of lying which we also need to discuss at this point. pedantic: adjective: giving too much attention to formal rules or small details. Whether you are lying or not is NOT a small detail, although it is clear you will probably never understand that. Wally Bass |
