If you think the WHO is not working with the CCP, try asking the WHO about Taiwan.
I guess I might ask the US Congress and all recent US presidents why the US grants China diplomatic relations, having severed formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan in 1979 to make this possible.
I would be the first to admit that Mainland China pressures international organisations (as well as countries) to deny recognition to Taiwan as an independent entity. The WHO, in line with virtually all global bodies, considers a relationship with Mainland China to be more important than one with Taiwan. They cannot have both.
The WHO, in working with Mainland China, certainly does have contact with Chinese officials. Funnily enough, those officials belong to the CCP. Since China does cooperate with the WHO, which the US currently does not, it is not surprising if the WHO sometimes chooses to believe what they are told by Chinese officials directly, rather than being influenced by Fox News. However, the narrative that the WHO is some kind of mouthpiece for the CCP is nutty.
