There was a State Department representative on CFIUS, but it was not Hillary, and she took no part in the discussions. Even if she had, the State Department did not hold the chair of CFIUS, and the most important input on that particular decision came from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission who advised that allowing a Russian owned company to conduct mining operations in the US was not a national security risk. The 15 members of CFIUS, based on the NRC recommendation, unanimously agreed there was no need to recommend the deal be blocked.
Are you suggesting that the state department signed off on the deal without the knowledge, or consent, of the Secretary of State?
If Hillary knew about the deal, and did not stop it, then she consented to it, correct?
