Competition in healthcare is not like other sectors. When you check into an emergency room, they do whatever they decide to do, charge whatever they decide to charge, and it's anybody's guess what portion your health insurance will cover. You have no say in the matter. You are not in a position to comparatively shop, and you have no idea, going in, what you will charged.
Healthcare in the US, is essentially a monopoly with no oversight.
