For some reason, there was concerns about the deal which resulted in bringing in Witte.
They could be some combination of of the below.
1.Dewhurst lacked the ability to bring together the total financial commitment he agreed to.
2.It was assumed that Bob Walsh would be retained and that Dewhurst would raise money and just oversee the existing operation.
3. Kirk and Bob did not see eye to eye and it was clear that the Dewhurst and Bob combination would neither work or be sufficient.

I do believe that Witte is working a new financing strategy and that the current position of the technology is as advertised. I believe the issue has been an inability of Bob to deliver a deal the met Kirk/s expectations. Bob was primarily an operating guy who wanted to prove the development and then sell out to a large oil company for Billions.
I would be happy to be bought out of Energy with a royalty.
