Somebody in the call market is betting big on CLNS 1Q earnings.
The May calls at 6 have traded almost 1,200 contracts, I think with the bulk at 25 cents.
Thus break even is 6.25 before May 18 when earnings are announced on 5/10.
Of course it won't hit "normalized" ffo, but clns will do it's best to stay away from a 400+ million loss on the clnc deal to date from their supposed 1.1 billion of equity they put into clnc.
All their new found announcements of acquisitions won't help 1Q. I'm betting on better operating results in the second and third quarter for my Dec calls at 7. Nevertheless, I hope the buyer of the May calls at 6 makes lots and lots of money.
