Puking market panic BOTTOM levels not exactly a ringing strategyGo away. Msg 96049 of 110559 at 1/9/2018 9:53:35 AM by Riskyinvestor report abuse recommend What Happened? After being told at SNO that the IL-12 P3 trial would start by year-end 2017, we are now informed that the trial will start the second half of 2018. What happened? I can think of 2 possible explanations. 1) ZIOP ran into unexpected issues with the regulators that were unknown at SNO 2) Now that they announced that the combo trial would be with Opdivo, they (maybe in conjunction with BMY) decided to get the P1 combo trial started first. Why do this? Well...could it be that if the combo trial produces very good results that they will forgo the stand-alone IL-12 trial. We just don't know at this point. I guess a 3rd explanation is that Cooper was misleading us all along. I have a hard time believing that. The timing setback is a big negative. It does call into question what they will do for funding. I was also under the impression that the NCI trial would start Q1 2018, not 2nd half of 2018. Though I don't remember ZIOP being as clear as to when the trial would start. Nothing in the announcement changes my view of the science, though the ability to make and keep timelines is important in this business. I am surprised the stock isn't down more, though the day is young. I have sold all my shares and will wait to hear the presentation. I think Cooper needs to come clean on the change in timing. |
