I've posted buys here and elsewhere for some of my flip buys.
Flipping always takes guts and bucks. Sometimes it takes speed, especially with a stock like Moderna. By the time I note my buy, calculate my sell price and enter the sell order, there are times when the opportunity (or most of it) is gone. It's too late to post.
Even if I do post a buy, a reader has to read it in time to act. Again, the opportunity could be long gone.
I take some of the risk out of the guts factor by flipping the names I know and am willing to hold on fundamentals if I guess wrong which does happen more often than I would like. Nobody bats 1,000, including me.
SUI at under 145 is a table-pounder for at least 10 bucks when they announce 4Q earnings in the latter part of Feb. It traded over 152 not long ago and no bad news has come out. IMO, just the computers selling sectors, a tide which will change. Yeah, long interest rates went up a bit, but not enough to take 10 bucks off the price. I'll buy this again on a dip because I know holding will be rewarded. Nevertheless, I have a hard time resisting a next-day 3 grand. I'll flip it as many times as I can before the price runs away from me.
I predict SUI will beat their ffo estimate for 4Q and will raise the dividend 3% to 5%. I suspect they will give at least 1Q guidance which will be a nice y/y increase.
