Well, Moderna/NIH blew the timing of the monkey press release as far as the print edition of the WSJ. Release at 3:23 pm edt on Tuesday was apparently too late for inclusion in the news section of Wednesday's print WSJ. Not a word in Wed"s edition.
It appears the release was too early for Thursday's edition, apparently as "old news".
Not a word in Today's print edition.
Of course the government doesn't give a damn about marketing news. The only thing government employees know is to release bad news late on Friday afternoons.
Maybe the NEJM embargo deadline had something to do with the bad timing.
In any event, this released has passed without one word in the print WSJ so far. A million dollars in free publicity down the drain. If I were in charge, unless Moderna had no control whatsoever over the timing of the news release, somebody would be fired.
