We agree he shouldn't care. But IMO, he should engage with everybody. My point is that he is the person he used to reject.
We plan for tomorrow, and all of us should take into account the risks, eyes wide open and seeking the most information we can get, and realizing the limits of that info, and decide our own plans for tomorrow. And I don't see the point of criticizing others for planning differently, after incorporating their own analysis and criteria.
I do NOT look for certainty. I look for balanced risk/reward (or hopefully potential reward outweighing risks). Certainty would yield no investment advantage.
Investing is about EVALUATING probabilities and risk. And everybody does their own evaluation. And evaluating probabilities is more risky when it is being done with very little or no solid information. (In other words, guessing.) You may see good risk/reward in guessing that mvis is worth more than the current mkt cap. I may see that the risk, because it is virtually all unknowns, is too high. Or maybe I am not looking for that kind of pure speculative investment with mvis at this time. And you are....which is good for you.
There real issue is that you think mvis is certainly (or within your risk evaluation) worth more, maybe much more, than the current PPS. You believe that, without the benefit of solid info. Which is fine. And you calculate a risk reward you like. (And you talk about "money you can afford to lose", which indicates you also think it is a gamble more than an investment based on solid info.)
I am not a sophist. But I do believe in discussion on a discussion board. And I do think it is healthy to be open-minded about what is known and not known, and question things that aren't known.
