I just don't see how they can make it without a partner. Any partner will have to be truly committed and that would be part of the negotiations.
SNY pulled out because of change in command and new CEO came from PFE who had failed with their inhaled insulin. Sucked and to bad the original CEO didn't stay.
We still can't get proper insurance coverage and ENDO's not buying in at this point in time. Without Cigna, AETNA/CVS and Medicare we won't get traction. I wouldn't even care if we gave away 1/2 the Afrezza business with a partner as an equal.
Right now we are more a technology company with technosphere as the key technology. You could really scale back costs and just sign royalty agreements and make $250M-$500M a year. It would be a high margin business as well.
I'm not saying this is the right or only approach, but something to highly consider. I would hate to lose Afrezza, but something different needs to be done.
