MNKD Also Checking Elasticity of Demand For Uninsured and Under Insured? (With Afrezza Direct Purchase)
I have always felt that MNKD could sell much more Afrezza if they weren't a Tier 4, if lucky enough to be on an insurance company's Formulary. Given that the uninsured and under insured don't care too much about insurance company Formularies, we will soon see what the demand for Afrezza is without PBM/insurance company restrictions and current distribution costs. Afrezza will be made available at a much lower price, and these patients will only need a doctor's prescription. JMHO.
