Re: Off the deep end? Over the hedge ?At this juncture, what we are currently watching, and have experienced, were best summed up by Robert Burns way back in 1785.......... a long, long time ago. History has proven old Robbie totally correct. The basic questions are: 'Will this time be any different?' and 'Why?' the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. No matter how a project is planned, accidents or misfortune can still happen with it. 1785, To a Mouse, Robert Burns But mouse, you are not alone, In proving foresight may be vain; The best laid schemes of mice and men go often askew And leave us nothing but grief and pain, History has also proven that the outcomes are usually catastrophic for some, if not all. Another question: 'Will the perpetrators succeed this time, or will they finally be hunted down and finally exterminated.?' (Remember they were the cause of the American Revolution) |
