I know lots of guys here follow a variety of markets... just wanted to check if anyone was going to be buying Bordeaux futures this year... trading should be kicking off over the next few weeks.
Everything points to a very good vintage for 2019 and early in-barrel results were apparently quite good. However, due to covid there was no tasting / scoring / etc. So, with everyone going in blind, and the general depressed economies... I would have thought pricing might be down 20% or more from last year.
So its probably a good bet to pick up a few cases in the futures market... maybe even a Rothschilds? Then come 2022 you'll either have made a few dollars - or will have a reasonably priced supply of good wine!
Let me know if anyone is looking at this.
