Re: oT: hey fundy, who is doing this in one of the already heaviest taxed states??-----eagle76: and Maxine is dead on, time to take down the 'feeder'

 Maxine is right.

There are a couple of astute sayings that have been around for years, but one that reflects this goes like this:

democracy will cease to exist once the masses figure out how to line their pockets with nothing more than their vote

Course, it takes a politician willing to promise free stuff and then STEAL from someone else to pay for it as well to make it work...

and sadly for our country, we have those politicians gaining power, destroying some folks lives thru ever rising taxes, fees, etc, continually trying to find new ways to take even more (aka, NJ and the rain water tax), and the enablers who have no problem voting these politicians in hoping that they will continue to redistribute OTHERS wealth...  many I suspect not realizing that in some form or fashion (as all those dems that own homes, businesses or just live in NJ are going to find out), they are in some way paying for it as well..  heck, even the poor in NJ who vote dems are going to get hit as the businesses pass on the cost to do business to those that buy their products, use their services...

but come the next election?   They will continue to 'demand' the politicians 'fill the feeders' with free stuff, paid for by others...
