Xenon (Frank Holler & also Sernova) :)In Pharmaceuticals it seems "everyone" knows "everyone", sic! Further, it demonstrates that Sernova is truly in good hands; see below!! The news was released yesterday and, at surface, seems to have no connection with Sernova, BUT... If one visits the Sernova website to look at "About Us"... we see all about Frank Holler: Frank HollerDirector and Chairman - Board of DirectorsMr. Holler is currently President &CEO of Ponderosa Capital Inc. Mr. Holler previously served as Chairman &CEO of BC Advantage Funds (VCC) Ltd., a venture capital firm investing in emerging technology companies in British Columbia, from 2004 to 2016; President and CEO of Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc., a NASDAQ listed, genomics-based drug development company, from 1999 to 2003; President and CEO of ID Biomedical Corporation, a TSX/Nasdaq vaccine development company, from 1991 to 1998; and a founding director of Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, a TSX/ NASDAQ listed biotechnology company, from 1992 to 1997. Prior to working in biotechnology and healthcare, Mr. Holler was a Vice-President of Investment Banking with Merrill Lynch Canada and Wood Gundy Inc. (now CIBC World Markets). In addition to serving on the Corporation’s Board, Mr. Holler presently serves on the board of directors of Xenon Pharmaceuticals and the Prevention of Organ Failure Centre at St. Pauls’s Hospital (Chairman). Mr. Holler was previously a Director of the British Columbia Biotechnology Association from 1992 to 1998, and in 2003 received the BC Biotech Award for Vision and Leadership. He holds an MBA and BA (Economics) from the University of British Columbia. Notice part on Angiotech, i.e. connection with Dr. Toleikis.Notice part on Advantage Funds above, i.e. connection with Ray Matthews. My take is something Good is coming down the pipe soonish. "Silence is Golden" is the mantra... we've had No News November and we are just into December with a firming share price and NO NEWS... jwall |
