Enough distraction for the board but thanks 2 all because the object here is for us to pull our weight in our own way. Puzzle those are some of my favorite themes for sure but there is a point and method that you miss.
First, we live in a watered down, politically correct world where bullshit is often a filler for fact. Here, at least in my experince "real oil men" are getting it done for CEN. I am sure there are women in the mix but I have not had the pleasure to meet them but to further clarify my position----2 of the best brokers I have ever had in my life were women, I would put them up against any "real man " any day. Both made enough money to invest full time and I work with them to this day---one for over 25 years. I am no sexist if it matters.
Now to the really IMPORTANT points. There are two fundamental necessities for success and real wealth building in the market---both supplied in multiple ways by Blue and this board.
- 1) attention to every detail, angle, nuance, metric, and overall relationship of an investment to a given market within the larger market as a whole. Detail upon detail upon detail and once the details are documentented the fleshing out and understanding of that information in relation to the future of the investment. Here OJ and Belt usually lead the charge and our excellent, some industry some not, personel help all of us understand what it means and possible furher impact on our investment.
- 2) Understand WHY you own a stock. That is what makes Detail (1) so important. WHY---the market and share price throw curves as a matter of routine and then you add all of our personal experinces into the mix and it makes it very difficult to wealth build as human nature causes one 2 stick with loosers while selling the winners that actually have the pedigree 2 wealth build.
Overweight is a great rule to live by until its not---at least for me. Was Gates, Walton, Wyatt ----you get the picture---overweight---of course! Thats how the great fortunes are made. The wonderful thing is that as a shareholder, if you really understand the WHY you have a chance to build wealth with some of the best "partners" in the world. Where else does that happen?
But you have to have the KNOWLEDGE to survive the storms and the secret is once you survive a few it gets easier over time. Of course overweight in stock can be as dangerous as overweight in a boat so part of the WHY is understanding where you are in life, your monetary goals, risk tolerance, the ability to rebound (sometimes 9 lives are not enough) etc. So in my long rambling way I do try and assist with the big picture and the WHY. I believe MR. Wyatt has earned his own headline and I will finish there as I hibernate and wait for BB-South. If anything of real import strikes me I will post. Best to all and thanks.
