But homeowners insurance won't pay for fire damage caused by an ICE fire in your garage either. In fact, any damage caused by the car in the garage or on the property, fire collision, or whatever, is covered by the car insurance, not the homeowners insurance. And that is true no matter what kind of motor the car has.
