Here a report on the siting of those U.S. weather stations, bad data, then we build computer models with garbage in and garbage out. Very interesting report , lots of pics which emphasize the issue with temperature readings over the years as urban encroachment changes the environment around the gauges. Not to mention almost a full degree of positive change from just putting a different paint (a modern upgrade) on the boxes that hold the temperature gauge.
Read this and then imagine a court holding a session on the accuracy of temperature readings from the U.S.. Reality is the U.S. probably has some of the best data in the world yet still woefully inadequate with regards to scientific rigour. Lawyers would rip their arguments apart if they were trying to defend the accuracy of their records over time. The heat island effect is substantial yet they pretend they can mitigate it's impact on the results, no wonder climate scientists homogenize data in secret before revealing their conclusions to the public.
So climate scientists then take the bad data and conclude a correlation between C02 and temperature rise out over the future , 50 to a 100 yrs out. Not to mention the really old temp records are based on tree rings hundreds of years old. Really and we expect accuracy to within 1/100's Celsius to build our climate models on? From all that we make economic decisions that have real life impact, $100's of billions of taxpayer money subsidizing the fight against climate change. Bullshit baffles brains, enough already.
