"next gen OLED sub 5 pixel pitch"
So conservatively using 5 micron
5 micron = 0.0001968504 inch
0.0001968504 x 4000 pixel display = .7874016 inch display (on the horizontal & also vertical if square display)
2 x for 8k = 1.5748 inch display
- smaller as the pixel size goes below 5 microns .
ie 4.5 micron pixel pitch
4.5 micron = 0001771654 inch
0001771654 x 4000 pixels = .7086616 inch display
x2 for 8k = 1.4173232 inch display
So it seems they might be able to do 8k in a single non tiled 8K display. . At worst they could tile, with their process which produces a seamlessly tiled display, 2 4k's to make a 8k x 4k display (for use per eye) .
