Re: BO?
“Exel hasn't been @ a Citibank conference in 8yrs.or so.The Exelixis Investor section doesn't list any Citi analyst.Where has anybody seen proof that Exel was invited?I doubt companies are invited that aren't followed. “
A few things. Earlier this year, EXEL attended two conferences sponsored by analysts that do not follow EXEL, or are not listed on the EXEL web site as analysts that follow EXEL anyway. That would be UBS and Barclays. So, they do attend conferences of analysts that don’t ‘follow’ EXEL. I can’t see previous year(s) calendar so can’t speak for that.
But you do raise a good point. If they had agreed to attend, they never released a PR which they typically do of their pending plan to attend these conferences. So if they in fact ‘cancelled’ they did so before they announced they would attend, or perhaps they declined the invitation.
So, I would suggest that if they were invited, they never accepted, and therefore did not cancel. It is more likely if they were invited, they declined. But if that’s the case, that’s apparently what they have been doing for the last 7 years. So why is everyone soiling their panties?
And finally, if they were invited and accepted then cancelled, it had to have occurred all within hours/ a day(s), otherwise we would have seen a PR they planned to attend.
So I’m not buying they ever accepted to then cancel, and even if so, how that somehow suggests a BO is imminent. That large volume on Friday more like a result of the overall bio market that day along with OPEX.
But just to go on the record, right here on thes MBs I predicted an EXEL BO, in January of 2015. I also predicted back then that India would successfully defend the World Cup in Field Hockey. I’m a regular Nostradamus..
