Insurance Costs of BLM & Antifa Riots
Axios media reports that the BLM and Antifa riots this year have been the costliest in US history when translated into 2020 dollars. They have so far reached $1-2B, compared to the 2nd most of $1.42B for the Rodney King riots of 1992. The number is even higher than the total of 6 different years of riots in the tumultuous 60's. The article mentions that these losses don't at all cover the business interruptions of businesses that were damaged or destroyed during the riots.
The Atlantic magazine threatened in an article last week that if Americans don't vote for Biden, and Trump wins, that this will result "in more of the social unrest and street battles that cities including...have seen in recent months". The Washington Post said "A landslide for Joe Biden results in an orderly transfer of power. Every other scenario we looked at involved street-level violence and political crisis".
So left-wing media are already predicting that if left-wing voters don't get what they want in the election, they will continue to violently riot in the streets. How then can anyone claim, as has been claimed in the media, that Trump and his followers are the radicals who won't go quietly in the event he loses, when the Biden-biased media are already predicting that they will but radical Democrats won't?
