Re: TC Energy shares plunge as $3.3B added to cost of Coastal GasLink pipeline in B.C. UTR: Yes, I have been following long COVID. There are plenty of anti-vaxxers here in western Canada. From personal conversations, it is a safe assumption that these people do not understand mathematics very well. I should add that from personal experience, anti-vaxxers tend to very unhealthy. More immigrants is a very bad idea unless it is the will of the Canadian people to accentuate stagnate productivity growth in Canada. That could be the case. Presumably Canadians politically support high (and distorting) payroll taxes because productivity does not matter. I recall from early stages of economic recovery from the pandemic all the anecdotes of Canadian workers who refused full time employment because they did not want to lose EI benefits. I do not see Canadian pandemic policies as reckless. It is unfortunate that so many of our fellow citizens appear to be 'smart' like Great Americans but frankly that has always been the case. Inflation will return to circa 2%, possibly even lower. NATO sanctions against Russia and other global political crises permitting. In the meantime, the camp jobs associated with BC LNG plant and natural gas pipeline construction are very high paying and workers come from all over the place. I wonder if all road blocks and equipment sabotage have discouraged some from working on the pipeline. It is indeed unfortunate that a handful of Red Fascists and their supporters have managed to cause so many delays to the Coastal Link pipeline. The real unfortunate news is that the folks and their chosen tactics of activism enjoy much support throughout the population. These supporters have little or no understanding of FN health, substance abuse, domestic abuse and other issues. Poverty and wood stoves are romantic. |
