About the solicitation for donations & links to the National Bank of UkraineWho Posted the Solicitation for Donations? Investor Village chose to post a message at the top of our boards asking our site users to consider visiting the National Bank of Ukraine's website to learn more about their fund-raising efforts on behalf of the Ukranian Armed Forces and in support of humanitarian relief efforts to assist innocent civilians suffering across their country. We did this of our own volition and not at the request of any third-party. Why Get Involved? Simple. We couldn't just stand by and watch the horror unfolding on TV and social media in silence and inaction. We wanted to do our small part to contribute to the global response to this crisis. And we want the Ukrainians to know we stand with them. Personal Note As Chief Bottle Washer, I would like to add that the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine and the real threat it poses to peace & stability around the world reminds me every day of my maternal grandfather, Herb Townsley: Mr. Townsley...served as a Captain in the US Army during WWII, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the Bronze Star. And while I fully recognize that I can never fill my granddad's heroic boots, I hope we are making him proud for doing what we can with the tools at our disposal. Our family is so proud of him for fighting the good fight almost 80 years ago to protect freedoms so many sadly take for granted today. May he rest in peace. We truly appreciate everyone who has chosen to act now, contributing what you can to this urgent & collective effort. We are confident you are on the right side of history, just as my grandfather was all those years ago. Слава Україні
