There was a part of Sharma's interview that was not clear to me concerning RFIs, RFQs, RFPs etc.
His response: "I will added it to the list of questions being compiled for Thursday’s conference call.
My question: One more clarification; Sharma said, "As I mentioned to you, right after the Munich show, we were already seeing a lot more activity on RFI directed to us. So clearly, RFI, RFPs, going to RFQs are in play”
By "in play", did he mean that you had received and had responded to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, or are they to come? My understanding: RFIs were what we sent out and received when we or someone else was trying to get a handle on what technology was available. More often than not they were fishing expeditions. When we sent out an RFP it was one step prior to a contract, we did not use RFQs which would seem to be what you would send out when you have narrowed suppliers down via the RFPs.
Do I have this correct?
