If the buyout is because (if) mvis becomes a big auto LiDAR player, the lease might be pocket change, even if it has to be paid by the buyer (or negotiate getting out of it).
It is amazing how some people speak/write with what appears to be a glaring lack of basic knowledge.
Sector and market headwinds probably having an effect. But, I think mvis needs some actual news about something involving revenue. I am not surprised to see the PPS fade. They have finances to sustain themselves for a while. But just that, doesn't get investors excited. And mvis has a history. Just testing and demos and discussions, is not enough. Investors (fundamentals, not TA based) might not want to buy now and hold.....until they see signs the company is closer to some measurable success, when the PPS could be driven up by fundamentals.
But the TA may lead some to buy, if it indicates such.
