Re: The 16 ton weight on BSGMEvery once in a while I go to the Clintrials site to see if any status change. The last status change was June 18, to "recruiting". Have not seen any change to that since. Perhaps with this PR today we may see a change. .................................. Separately, I still scratch my head at this entire thing. Recent discussion centered on whether there would be 40 patients at EACH of the four sites, or 40 total. Seems we collectively determined it would be 40 TOTAL. HELLOOOOOO.... that would be only ten patients per site... really? How hard would that be, and how long would it take to find those ten per site? And at Mayo no less. Head scratcher to me folks. And we are talking PILLS, not infusions. And if we are truly doing a separate SOLO trial, how hard would that be to get 40 patients who are covid-sick, give them some pills, and report the outcome? I realize everything has to be done by the book, but come on already. ............................... And one other note - the players working on vaccines are having to find 30,000 trial subjects.... 30,000. And we are talking 40 for ours. And with vaccine trials, you have to give the drug to healthy people, and follow them around to see if they get covid... seems alot more challenging than giving pills to sick people and see how/if they recover.
