Not necessarily a leak ... but there is some logic that says the article provided by njsun on the NCI's advances with TCR-T therapy has caused interest. One only need to follow the thread of DD and you arrive at Alaunos if you assign an optimistic view of NCI progress.
Dr. Rosenberg never said all solid epithelial cancers would have successful outcomes. The complexity of the solid tumor microenvironment presents challenges that will still need to be addressed. But, in declaring "finally found the blueprint for success," he has expectation of major improvement and I assume that 80% is his threshold for success. That is a giant leap forward if obtained. After all, FDA CAR-T approvals began with initial response rates starting at 80% (but then they declined into the 40% range in durable ORR, and blood cancers are a less complex, single-antigen target compared to epithelial tissue cancers. IMAO, of course. All the best.
