The lithium market turns on what happens in China and Europe. US, Canada EV demand is at the margins - 10% of the world total.
BYD's E bus deliveries this year are on track for 60000 buses, the rough equivalent of 300,000 cars. Yutong, the second largest bus maker in China in '21 delivered 42000 buses. There are more than 500,000 e buses in China, about 15000 in the US.
Most of the US E trucks sold in 22 are the light pickups from Ford. China is far ahead on urban delivery truck electrification in light, medium and heavy categories.
