None of them have ever worked for a Big Pharma (BP), and they have zero experience is successfully moving a drug through the FDA approval gauntlet. While even the most cynical of posters (who tend to reside near the earth's equator) would probably admit that our management team have all been successful in their pre-PVCT phase, they're really little more than amateurs in moving a drug into the market place. But they are getting massive amounts of OTJ training, and bringing resumes with stellar work histories and accomplishments! To a person, I'd be willing to bet that each member of the team would have preferred not to undertake their present role when they did. BUT lets face it, our old team collapsed dreadfully, and were it not for the 'Battle of the Bulge' /death-match like reaction of the present team, i.e., stand up and fight this problem to the death, we'd all probably have long ago put PVCT in the rear view mirror! They not only were faced with the challenge of moving an unknown drug into the market place, but they also had to (quickly) find a way to the keep the business funded and the hounds of the SEC from chewing the company up! So the time in the saddle wasn't always dedicated to getting the drug approved, but early on it was about fighting to keep the company in existence! One example of their talent was their creative way of raising funds with the PRH funding scheme, that staved off a likely bankruptcy! And Dom's effective response to the SEC's investigation not only saved PVCT from being terminated, but caused the SEC to compliment him on his effective dealings with them! They also managed to gin up a relationship with POETIC that may end up being one of the best things that ever happened to the company!
My point is, our Team was/is new to the job, and therefore cannot be held to ordinary time lines. While Ed's vast number of contacts in the Health Care industry is probably a mile long, his past experience is very different than what he is doing now. Same with Dom and Bruce!
OTOH, being a smart bunch of guys with vast amounts of successful experience/achievements in their past, they bring a fresh perspective that for all we know may be exactly what was/is needed for a unique drug at a critical time in it's introduction to modern medicine!
