No continuation of yesterday's move-9/29/22Treasury Yields continue to rule as they are higher this AM and the Futures are lower. The 90 Day T-Bill is now yielding 3.24%; the 2 Year Treasury Note is priced to yield 4.22%; the 5 Year is at a yield of 4.08%; the 10 Year's Yield is back up to 3.85%; and the 30 Year Bond is priced to yield 3.79%. With slightly more than 3.50 hours to go before the open, the Futures are lower, but off of their worst levels. DOW Futures are now pointing to an opening loss of 190.74 points; SP 500 Futures to an opening loss of 29.79 points; NAS COMP Futures to a loss of 111.08 points. China's State Banks are preparing for an Yuan Offshore intervention. All Major European Markets are down more than 1%. Major Asian Markets are split with Shanghai and the HSI down; Nikkei and Kospi up. WTI and Brent are slightly lower; Natural Gas up 1.27%. All Major Metals are lower. Cryptos are split, with Bitcoin slightly down, but above 19K. Bloomberg's Commodity Index is at 243.61. The IWM is off 1.31 to 168.63; the QQQs are down 2.24 to 277.70; the SPY is dropping 2.46 to 368.07; the XBI is losing 1.00 to 80.20; and the XLE is minus 0.05 to 72.55. My Watch lists are almost a complete Sea of Red. Energy names are the exceptions: XOM is +0.37 to 89.23; OXY is adding 0.35 to 61.76 and CVX is unchanged. FDX, HD NFLX SNOW and TSLA are all down 2.00 or more. Good luck |
