Since the company is now fully profitable and taxable, those tax pools make this unexpected deal very attractive I have to say.
Sounds like ESG forced Total out of a great position for a ridiculous price.
To sell 2 billion barrels of fully developed operational oil reserves + the tax pools for 6 billion is wild considering Canada is just aboot (hehe) to finish Transmountain essentially the day this deal closes. EDIT But really 4 billion net of Tax pools to be clear
