The Canadian energy fund manager called BTE "the traditional beta play" last time I saw him speak.  Continuing balance sheet woes which are not nearly as bad as they used to be cause the stock to move more than better capitalized firms in both directions.  Today was the first day in a while where commodity price changes really moved into the equities.  Hence BTE was up 5%+ while others were up less.  OBE and BNE also need balance sheet work and joined BTE up 5%+
