Re: Off-topic. Very Interesting Day - Luckygreat question W; i have been on both sides, as an investor as well as the originator. "why is it being offered to me?" on one deal, we needed some equity (7) investors; my partner and i had 2 rules for considering an investor; -needed to know (not necessarily friends) who they were/experience/qualified and risk tolerant -needed to know that they knew the business we were going in to; ie, no hand holding or educating my partner and i put up 50% of the equity; significant skin in the deal, so the investors knew we were aligned sometimes when the offer is on the table, you do your best dd and say yes. |
