The Greens want fossil fuel energy as high-priced as possible. It is the only way that any Green system (as they define it) can HOPE to be economic, compared to the competition. 

 

Shortage of fossil fuels?
That makes development of alternative energy mandatory, even if the subsidies must be tripled. 

 

If the average person can be made to pay high prices for fossil fuels, it makes it easier to demonize the producers of these fuels and those who profit from it. It is "proof" that alternative Green energy is the only viable choice for the future.

 

High fossil fuels prices, temporarily is likely to be a WELCOME part of the propaganda game plan, until fossil fuels use can be decimated, and banned if possible..
