To that one might add that any benefit from current reduction in the price of gasoline (and diesel) is more than countered by increases at the grocery store. The increases in the cost of food are punishing many .... not so much 'demand destruction' as the destruction of the ability to purchase .... 'demand' is still there, but the means necessary to satisfy the demand is increasingly lacking. |
