Freehold (FRU) hit a 20% free cash flow yield today based on $105 WTI and
$5.50 nat gas. Almost debt free. How does the market ignore such
compelling valuation?
Because the media and influencers have taught the masses to hate fossil fuels, uninvestable, how many times have we read or heard that? We are just seeing the thin edge of investors come back in the last year, probably a lot of momo investors who don't much care what the stock is as long as there is momentum. They exit just as quickly.
Bulls take years to develop, never go straight up, this one is very, very similiar so far to the early 2000's. We had a U.S. recession there as well, Jihad was an ongoing war after 9/11, tech rolled over, energy had been trashed in prior years. Sure rhymes.
